There are the obvious things that everyone loves about weddings: the bride, the dress, those special first moments between the bride & groom, etc. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE all those moments and love photographing them! I'm so lucky to work with people on the absolute happiest days of their lives -- I wouldn't trade it for anything!

One of my personal favorite things about weddings though, is the little details. You know, the tiny ribbons on all the guest favors that the bride and her bridesmaids slaved away tying in perfect bows for hours in the weeks leading up to the ceremony; the perfect pair of shoes that the bride searched for months to find; the hand-me-down family heirloom jewelry the bride wears as she walks down the aisle; the matching necklaces all the bridesmaids are wearing; the unique cufflinks the groomsmen are sporting; the beautifully crafted hand-made signs, card boxes, and centerpieces that the bride has been working on for months..... THOSE are the things that I just adore about weddings. Why? Because they often get overlooked in photographs. In the hustle and bustle of the big wedding day, the small details often get overlooked and missed. It's so important to me to capture as many of these little details as I can, to truly capture all the hard work and planning that went into each wedding.
